Maqamat Al-Arabiya: The Easiest Way to Access and Learn Arabic Maqamat
Maqamat Al-Arabiya is an iPhone application developed by MuSikah LLC. It is a free multimedia program in the Music & Radio category. This app provides users with the easiest way to access, listen to, and learn the Maqamat of Arabic Music.
The program contains a total of 55 Maqams, which are grouped into 9 Families. It also includes 13 Adjnas (Tetrachords) and a Help page for users who are not familiar with Staff notation or musical symbols.
Each Maqam features the Adjnas (Primary and Secondary) that form the specific Maqam, as well as the intervals between each note in the Maqam. Users can also play the Maqam on an "oud" and use the repeat function to practice.
